Editor’s Box
I have heard a lot about the FabFitFun subscription box. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I currently subscribe to Ipsy and Stitch Fix. I decided to give FabFitFun a try after reading a number of reviews and seeing the quality of items that come in each box.
FabFitFun comes out four times a year. The boxes are sent in December, March, June and September and are aligned with the seasons. You can select to be billed quarterly at $49.99 or annually for $179.99. The annual price also comes with some perks, such as receiving the box sooner, the ability to customize your box, and early access to seasonal items that are not in the box. Since I’ve not tried this subscription before, I didn’t want to commit to an annual subscription, so I opted to do the quarterly subscription. I used a code that was sent to me after signing up for their newsletter. This code gave me 30% off of my first order. (The code was LOVEYOU and was only supposed to last a week.)
My first official box won’t arrive until March, since I missed the December edition. However, FabFitFun sent the Editor’s box which comes with favorite products from the past year. I ordered my box about a week and a half ago and it had already arrived by the end of this week. This box came with a variety of items, which I’ll list below. Suffice to say, I was very happy with the Editor’s box and hope that they do as good a job on future boxes.
Items I received in the Editor’s box
Modcloth Loch and Key scarf $34.99 (in taupe – this is what I received – see picture below)
The Created Co. To Go coffee mug $19.99 (linked to Good Morning Gorgeous, the mug I received)
FabFitFun Coloring Book & Colored Pencils $14
Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain $24
Marrakesh Argan & Hemp Hair Oil $22.99
O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel Face $44
Jook & Nona Tag Necklace $65 (Link to the Inspire necklace, which I received)
Zoya Nail Polish $9
Bonus Item
Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster $56
I’ve listed links to each of the products actual websites. I did this for two reasons. First, it shows that the price listed on the FabFitFun Editor’s box page which I verified by going to each website. Second, those who may be interested in purchasing any of the items individually, can do so.
I wore the Modcloth Loch & Key scarf today. This scarf is really big, I think it’s going to take me wearing it in different configurations before I figure which one I like best. However, it’s really soft and because it has a number of different colors in it, I can see myself wearing it with many different clothing items.
I tried the Zoya nail polish two days ago. So far, it still looks really good. It dried pretty quickly and it went on smoothly with no lines. The color I received is in a nice nude color, making it easy to go with a lot of different outfits.
I admit to being just a tad too excited about receiving the mug. It’s black with gold print which says, “Good morning, Gorgeous.” This is a really cute pick me up in the morning when I’m enjoying my coffee. I didn’t take picture of this because I’m keeping it in my office at work.
I also tried the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster this morning prior to putting on my make-up. My skin doesn’t get too dry and it tends to run on the combo side. I was worried that it might feel too greasy, but it went on without any residue. I’ll try it a few more times before making any final recommendations on this product.
The next two pictures are of the Inspire necklace and the coloring book and pencils that were in the box.
Note:
When I’m reviewing subscription boxes, I always link to my personal code. This allows the reader to receive a credit. In this case, you will receive $10 off your first order of FabFitFun and I’ll receive $15 off a future order.
