Two favorite make-up products

I’ve always loved make-up. It is the one tried and true pick me up that helps me, day after day. However, I was also someone who didn’t quite appreciate items that can be used to help your make-up look better from the moment you put it on to the end of the day.

Using primer prior to putting on your foundation actually makes putting it on easier and leaves for a more smooth canvas. It also seems to make my foundation last longer throughout the day. I’ve tried other primers, but what I love about this product is that a little bit goes a long way and it’s very light. Another important factor for me is that it has virtually no smell.

A 1 oz. tube goes for $30. I can make a tube last for about 3 months, so while this may seem pricey, it works out to ten bucks a month.

Another of my favorites is Urban Decay’s eyeshadow primer in Minor Sin. Again, the main reason why I love this primer is that it makes my eyeshadow stay put all day long. Another bonus is that I actually use less eyeshadow for coverage. It also does an amazing job of preventing creases in your eyeshadow. Minor Sin is described as a champagne color, so it has a little bit of shimmer to it. This primer has a sponge tip, which you can use to help with application. I generally squeeze a little bit from the tube onto the sponge tip and swipe on my eye. I then blend in with my fingers.

This tube of eyeshadow primer is $20 and comes in a .33 oz size. I think I purchased this about six months ago. It is almost time for me to buy a new tube!

I consider both of these items as my must-haves in my make-up routine and these are two of my favorites. What are your favorites or must-haves?

Remember, it’s never too late to try something new!

One of my go-to products is That Gal Brightening Face Primer by Benefit Cosmetics. It’s pretty pricey but it works well under my foundation or completely on its own. It magically evens out my skin tone without concealing my freckles!
