Subscription Boxes

Do you subscribe to any subscription boxes? Currently, I subscribe to two, which are Ipsy and StitchFix. In the past, I subscribed to Glossy Box and Blue Apron. Actually, I just subscribed to Ipsy today and one of my future posts will be to write about my first box from them.

I love StitchFix. Even though I generally do not keep every item, I love getting new items to try on. It’s the luxury of having a personal shopper sending you new pieces of clothing from the luxury of your home. I subscribe to the every other month option, which is perfect for me because I have something to look forward to without it breaking the bank. That’s the other part I love about StitchFix is that you can fix the price point for the clothing. They send you five pieces of clothing or accessories (meaning you receive five items which can be a mix of clothing and accessories) based on the price point for clothes. For example, my price point is $50 to $100 per item.

My most recent box that I received had the following items:

  • A dress
  • Jeans
  • Peasant blouse with tank under
  • Booties
  • Moto Jacket

I kept the jeans and the peasant blouse with tank, but returned the other items. If you keep all five items, they give you a 25% discount. If you return everything, you are charged $20, but if you keep any items, they reduce your order by $20.

After each box is received, you let your stylist know which items you liked and plan to keep and which items you are returning. You can then send a note to your stylist for suggestions for upcoming boxes. I have found that my stylist always tries to incorporate my suggestions but she also sends me new pieces that I might not have considered for myself.

If you want to try StitchFix, you can do so by clicking on any of the links that I have throughout this post. Let me know what you think if you do try it out! I’ll post pictures of my outfit tomorrow as I’m meeting my mom and sister for lunch.

Full disclosure: by clicking the StitchFix link, I will receive a credit of $25.00 if you sign up to try StitchFix.

And, remember, it’s never too late to try new things!
